Conference Data Policy

At React Nexus, we are committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our attendees. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and share your information, particularly in relation to our sponsors.

1. Data Sharing with Sponsors

We do not share your personal information with any sponsor without your explicit consent. You have full control over when and how your data is shared. Consent can be given in the following ways:

a. During Registration

When registering for the conference, you may choose to opt-in to share your contact details (such as name, email, job title, and company) with sponsors. This is entirely optional and based on your preferences.

b. On-Site at the Conference

You can also choose to share your information with a sponsor by allowing them to scan your conference QR code using their lead scanner. This scan serves as your direct consent to share your registration details with that sponsor.

2. How the Lead Scanner Works

Our lead scanners are used by sponsors to collect contact details from attendees who choose to engage with them. Here’s how it works:

• Every attendee is issued a unique QR code on their badge or digital pass.
• When you show your QR code to a sponsor, they can scan it using an official lead scanner app provided by the conference.
• The scanner collects the information you provided during registration (typically name, email address, company, job title).
• The data is transmitted securely to the sponsor’s dashboard, and access is granted only to sponsors for whom you have explicitly opted in via QR scan.

The scanning process is entirely initiated and consented to by you. If you do not wish to share your information, simply do not allow your badge to be scanned by sponsors.

3. Data Protection and Use

All attendee data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where relevant. Sponsors are required to use the data only for legitimate business purposes (such as follow-up communication) and must adhere to our privacy and data handling standards.
